Research Assistants and DiveMaster Internship

We have always dreamed of exploring the underwater world and contributing to its conservation. That is why we decided to enroll in a course that will allow us to do both: the Research Assistant and Divemaster Internship offered by the Institute for Marine Research (IMR).

This course is a unique opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in marine research and scuba diving, while living in a tropical paradise. The course will start on February 1, 2024 and last for 12 weeks. During this time, we will learn about coral reef ecology, marine biology, conservation, and research methods. We will also complete the PADI Divemaster course, which is the first professional level in scuba diving.

We are looking forward to joining the IMR team and working on their ongoing projects, such as coral reef monitoring, fish surveys, and turtle tagging. We are also excited to dive in some of the most beautiful and diverse sites in the world, such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Coral Sea, and the Coral Triangle. We hope to see amazing marine creatures, such as sharks, rays, dolphins, whales, and more.

We believe that this course will be a life-changing experience for us, as we will not only fulfill our personal goals, but also make a positive impact on the ocean and its inhabitants. We are eager to start this adventure and share it with you through our blog and social media.

Stay tuned for more updates!
