Who are we?
The Green Odyssea is an association founded by Sandrine and Gary, a couple who share a passion for travel and nature.
After a few short trips that opened our eyes, we decided to leave Switzerland to live the dream of travelling the world full-time. This “odyssea” is all about enjoying the journey together, discovering new horizons and sharing our adventures along the way.
The association’s objectives are:
- Promoting ecology and environmental protection
- Defending animal welfare and biodiversity
- Upholding human rights and social justice
Our travels allow us to witness the beauty but also the fragility of nature across the planet. We seek to raise awareness and support associations that actively protect ecosystems, species and indigenous communities.
We have chosen to highlight the positive and the beauty of nature, rather than focusing on the negative. In a world where bad news is everywhere, we firmly believe that celebrating the splendour of our planet can inspire people to be aware of its fragility and take action to protect it.
Wherever the road takes us, each day will be full of surprises and wonders to share with you. It may be a long journey, but we’re travelling it hand in hand, with light hearts and a lot of enthusiasm.

Who is Sandrine?
Sandrine has made a career in the hotel and restaurant business. After completing an apprenticeship as a waitress in fine gastronomy, she studied to become a hotel and restaurant manager at the Hotel Management School Geneva. She went on to become operational accommodation manager for a hotel and then administrative manager (HR and finance) for a restaurant group. Sandrine is an epicurean who takes great care of her guests. At the same time, she has a passion for natural remedies and is training in aromatherapy. Her travels, particularly to French Polynesia, have awakened her desire to discover the world and protect it. She's a curious person who marvels at the beauty of nature.
Who is Gary?
Gary is passionate about technology, having worked in various fields such as hydrogen, automotive and X-ray imaging. These varied experiences have given him versatility and adaptability. Away from work, he has always enjoyed strolling along lakeshores and forests, where photography has developed from a hobby into a real passion. His taste for travel comes from his parents, who took him to discover the world from an early age, from the Caribbean to Eastern Europe. But it was in Costa Rica in 2015 that he fell in love with the tropics. With its warmth, luxuriant nature and fascinating animals, this country gave birth to a love of wide open spaces that he now enjoys capturing through the lens of his camera.
